Area Manager - Australia & New Zealand

Biamp Systems, a leading manufacturer of professional electronics for use in the installed audio market, based in Portland, Oregon, USA, is currently recruiting for a new Area Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all elements of the business relationship between Biamp and its distributor and integrators.
  • Predicting and Meeting the sales targets and forecasts as for the region and having a clear understanding of how the forecast will be delivered and what the regional / national market trends are that could influence this.
  • Maintaining, refining and, when necessary, changing the currently set-up Biamp distribution network within the region.
  • Training both distributors and dealers on all aspects of Biamp’s equipment, its functions and its uses, with special emphasis on the Tesira, Vocia, Audia and Nexia Digital Audio Platforms.
  • Giving sales and technical presentations directly to consultants and key end-users in the region.
  • Giving Biamp feedback, both technical and commercial, from customers in the region.
  • Manning trade show booths both in USA and in the region, where appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in the South Asia-Pacific professional audio marketplace including contacts with key distributors and dealers in the region.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with Biamp’s distributor, integrators and end users.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (other language skills desirable).
  • Ability to give both technical and sales presentations to any level of attendee, from company presidents down.
  • Strong self-motivation to allow efficient work in a location remote from the company’s headquarters.

    The successful applicant will be based in Australia. The position requires extensive travel within the region as well as 2-3 trips to USA per year. The Area Sales Manager reports to the Asia-Pacific Regional Director.

Area Manager - West India

Area Manager –West India BIAMP Systems is looking for an Area Manager for West India who is experienced in achieving sales forecasts. Making sales calls calling on the identified integrators, consultants, architects, MEP firms and end users, in both the AV and IT spaces will not be foreign to the right candidate. This individual will also possess and have demonstrated the ability to develop and manage new key end user accounts in strategic verticals. Demonstrating great communications skills with their past superiors will be a must.

Responsibilities include:

Director of Information Systems

BIAMP Systems is looking for a highly capable Director of Information Systems with 10+ years of senior management experience. The candidate will have experience successfully managing an Information Technology department as well as a development environment for enterprise business applications. The successful candidate will be charged with overseeing the unification of the IT department with an array of software platforms used across the enterprise. The Director of IS shall be responsible for enabling the effective use of technology across the organization and creating a department that is dedicated to serving its customers. The Director will have excellent written and verbal skills; excellent interpersonal communications abilities; strong technical knowledge; excellent planning and process development skills; and proven ability to manage people in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include:

Embedded Software Engineer - Audio & Conferencing

Biamp is currently looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to support and contribute to the engineering team. The primary responsibilities will be to design, implement, test, debug, and maintain embedded software for networked digital audio processing equipment and related accessory products. Qualified candidates will be organized, analytical thinkers with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze new product functional requirements to determine required data structures and behaviors
  • Create written documentation for software designs using UML
  • Design and implement software modules using C++, object oriented modeling, and standard design patterns and techniques

EMEA Sales Development Director

The Sales Development Director is primarily focused on identifying and implementing new market opportunities, channel partnerships, and strategic key client relationships. The Director will work closely with the VP of Global Sales to develop sales strategies and go-to-market plans that provide the company a competitive advantage. The Director will develop sales campaigns and deliverables with the objective to maximize the company’s internal and external sale forces effectiveness and throughput.

During the sales process, the Director will be required to identify attractive prospects and secure initial meetings with key individuals and decision-makers. The Director should be able to apply a consultative solution-sales approach and tailor presentations and conversations to the specific needs of the individual prospects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruit and hire the best talent available to lead the company to capture the opportunities available to it, not just in the present, but in the next 3-5 years beyond today. Develop people beyond what they are currently capable of.
  • Provide a close connection and facilitate a liaison between the company, the Global Sales Team, distribution partners, integrators and clients. Manufacturing Systems Analyst

Biamp Systems is seeing a Manufacturing Systems Analyst to work collaboratively to develop and optimize the systems, software, and processes that support manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement of end-to-end systems and processes and be accountable for the overall quality of manufacturing data systems at Biamp.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute an end-to-end plan for optimizing BIAMP’s data systems in support of manufacturing processes and operational objectives
  • Investigate new software and identify opportunities to lead manufacturing process improvements
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve all quality and performance issues related to BIAMP’s production software systems
  • Stay current on all Dynamics AX (DAX) -related issues, developments, and upgrades
  • Drive systems and process improvements by applying lean principals
  • Prepare technical documentation for development of DAX and other production systems in accordance with manufacturing goals

Biamp is currently looking for an experienced Dynamics AX Specialist to support and contribute to the ERP development team. The primary responsibilities will be to design, implement, test, debug, and maintain .net solutions to enhance and extend the ERP system. Planner/Scheduler

Biamp Systems is seeking a Planner/Scheduler for a fast-paced, upbeat environment. This is a key position, responsible for ensuring our production scheduler is communicated across our functional teams.     2. Provide data to Planner for Production planning team meetings
  • Back-up ECO representative for Planning Department
    1. Responsible for reviewing and maintaining effectivity dates based on material consumption or other factors as described in ECO
    2. Attend weekly ECO meetings
  • Analyze, review and ensure material is available for all levels of factory based on production plan and communicate any potential shortages
  • Back-up Liaison for production shortages – work with buyer and production personnel on material availability

Sheet Metal Machine Operator - Swing Shift

Biamp Systems is looking for a Sheet Metal Machine Operator to operate the press brake, punch press, and other metal forming machines for the creation of BIAMP products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Follow written job specifications to determine machine calibration, materials required, and proper machine setup
  • Operate Punch Press, Press Brake, and/or Hardware insertion machine
  • Follow established safety guidelines in the operation machines and usage of protective gear
  • Inspect completed parts to ensure compliance with Biamp quality and dimensional standards
  • Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction
  • Ensure proper safety procedures are followed
  • Stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces
  • Recycle and dispose of scrap materials
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area
  • Perform routine maintenance of machine
  • Participate in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired

The Client-Side Software Development Engineer, who will be located in Beaverton, OR, is responsible for defining, designing and creating applications for web browsers and mobile clients. In addition to development skills, general engineering and team work skills are highly desired.

Responsibilities include:

  • Write web software using current technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Collaborate with server-side team members to develop effective APIs and client interfaces for system data
  • Stay current on web frameworks and advise team members as to appropriate use, and tradeoffs
  • Develop and test code developed for software
  • Write clear documentation
  • Work effectively with a small team
  • Fix defects discovered during the development process

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSCS, BSCE, BSEE or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • JavaScript/HTML/CSS
  • Self-motivated and driven for success, though also able to take direction
  • Methodical approach to problem solving with careful attention to details
  • Able to juggle multiple responsibilities concurrently while continuing to meet deadlines
  • Must have a passion for understanding how Biamp products work

Desired Qualifications:

  • Object oriented server-side programming language (C# or Java)
  • Backbone.js, Angular, Meteor or proficiency to competing web framework
  • Native Mobile programming experience (iOS or Android) is a plus
  • Audio experience
  • Desktop programming experience (Winforms, Northwoods Go, GDI+)

Software Engineer

BIAMP Systems is looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of development experience on Windows platforms. Our products stand out in the industry as highly innovative and have a complex but intuitive user interface that is fully customizable. A strong interest in developing a complex graphical user interface that enhance the customer experience is required for this position. A successful candidate will have strong design skills and experience building complex Windows desktop applications in C#. Development experience should be well rounded with the ability to work on complex presentation and system level features.
