Applications Engineer - US East Coast

Biamp Applications Engineers assist customers with technical questions, product and design problems, technical training, and occasional site visits. The position will require daily interaction with Biamp customers, consultants, and sales representatives dealing with a variety of complex technical issues.

The ideal candidate would live near a major transportation hub in the Eastern United States and be responsible for technical support, training, troubleshooting, and onsite assistance during Eastern Standard Time business hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshoot product and design difficulties over the phone and via email
  • Conduct customer training
  • Provide input and guidance for the creation of operations manuals for new products
  • Conduct beta testing of new products
  • Onsite visits to troubleshoot and assist Biamp customers
  • Assist with product set-up and staging at tradeshows

Minimum Requirements:

Area Manager - South Texas

Area Manager – South Texas BIAMP Systems is looking for an Area Manager who is experienced in achieving sales forecasts. Making sales calls calling on the identified integrators, consultants, and end users, in both the AV and IT spaces will not be foreign to the right candidate. This individual will also possess the ability to develop and manage a new sales channel for recently launched platforms like our Vocia product line. Demonstrating great communications skills with their past superiors will be a must.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all elements of the business relationship between Biamp and its integrators.
  • Maintaining, refining and, when necessary, changing the currently set-up Biamp distribution network.
  • Training integrators, consultants, and End Users on all aspects of Biamp’s equipment, its functions and its uses, with special emphasis on the Audia and Nexia Digital Audio Platforms as well as our Vocia Critical Paging System.
  • Giving Biamp feedback, both technical and commercial, from customers.
  • Manning trade show booths where appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience working with audio DSP especially system design using software.
  • Computer networking experience (preferably including audio networking).
  • Experience in the professional audio marketplace including contacts with integrators.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with Biamp’s integrators.
  • Ability to give both technical and sales presentations to any level of attendee, from company presidents down.
  • Strong self-motivation to allow efficient work in a location remote from the company’s headquarters

Area Manager - West India

BIAMP Systems is looking for an Area Manager for West India who is experienced in achieving sales forecasts. Making sales calls calling on the identified integrators, consultants, architects, MEP firms and end users, in both the AV and IT spaces will not be foreign to the right candidate. This individual will also possess and have demonstrated the ability to develop and manage new key end user accounts in strategic verticals. Demonstrating great communications skills with their past superiors will be a must.

Responsibilities include:

  • Predicting and Meeting the sales targets and forecasts as for the region and having a clear understanding of how the forecast will be delivered and what the regional / national market trends are that could influence this.
  • Displaying a high level of solution, vertical and product understanding and experience in Biamp domain areas.
  • Managing all elements of the business relationship between Biamp and its partners in the region and offering a quality interaction point for these partners for Biamp.
  • Offering demonstrations and training integrators, consultants, end users, architects and MEP firms on all aspects of Biamp’s equipment, its functions and its uses and application.
  • Regularly meeting, offering presentations, using marketing collateral with integrators, consultants, end users, architects and MEP firms and other strategic partners and users to improve Biamp company and product awareness.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in the professional AV marketplace including contacts with key integrators, influencers and end users in the region.

  • Good technical audio knowledge and some computer networking experience (preferably including audio networking).
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with Biamp’s Partners.

    The position requires extensive travel within the defined regions in India and occasional international travel. The Area Manager reports to the Regional Manager SAARC.

Assembler

BIAMP Systems is looking for an Assembler to assemble electronic components for the creation of BIAMP products by following work orders, ensuring necessary materials are in stock, and reviewing work completed for any defects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receive electronic or verbal instructions for assemble order and ensures all necessary supplies are in stock
  • Assemble components to work order specifications
  • Examine all components for defects before and after work is completed
  • Report any defects to Production Supervisor
  • Reassemble components after corrections have been made
  • Perform regular cycle counts of supplies needed and amount of products completed
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area

Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative The Customer Service Representative is responsible for processing orders using our ERP system, filing and storing order and information in our CRM system, and providing Biamp customers with the highest level of service possible.

Responsibilities include:

  • Enter and confirm orders to customers
  • Run orders from backlog each day, prioritizing shipments when items are backordered
  • Heavy phone contact with customers regarding pricing, product availability, status of orders, order changes, etc.
  • Resolve customer issues or concerns as they arise
  • File orders and confirmations electronically each day
  • Follow up on orders with pricing issues, configuration issues, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have intermediate-level computer skills and the ability to work in a team setting
  • Requires good communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented with skills in prioritization and organization

Inventory Control Specialist

Provide material support in a Lean Manufacturing environment by monitoring the level and accuracy of inventory using the cycle count program to trouble shoot procedural errors and inventory discrepancies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the daily inventory cycle count program requiring inventory count accuracy and timeliness
  • Administer transaction corrections, inventory adjustments, and negative balance adjustments
  • Liaise with the Manufacturing department to troubleshoot and rectify problems arising from inventory transaction errors
  • Resolve causes for poor inventory health
  • Provides recommendations to meet inventory control targets
  • Perform cycle counts as needed to resolve discrepancies
  • Data entry
  • Train employees on cycle counts and updates documentation as needed

Biamp Systems is looking for a Material Handler specialist to provide material support in a Lean Manufacturing environment to production lines by assuring necessary materials are present at appropriate locations.

Responsibilities include:

Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all quality programs within Manufacturing at Biamp Systems. Ensures products meet engineering and customer standards while systems and processes meet industry-specific quality standards. Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement across Manufacturing and the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop the strategic Biamp Quality Plan by identifying critical risk areas, control points, and preventive measures; establish process limits, monitoring procedures and metrics, corrective actions, and verification procedures to ensure quality product is delivered to Biamp customers.
  • Ensure a robust Quality Management System, including documentation controls, for compliance to both internal standards and external industry regulatory requirements. Manage external audit processes and company compliance with these requirements including ISO 9001:2008, CCC, and EN 54-16.
  • Develop and manage an internal audit program to validate manufacturing processes based on quality principles and conformance to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and direct the Corrective Action Request (CAR) process that drives root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement program that identifies and resolves quality issues that hinder efficient production of products.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain group to develop and implement supplier development and approval processes and a supplier quality performance program.
  • Develop and maintain robust employee training programs and cross-training monitoring system.
  • Manage a team of quality personnel including Manufacturing Test Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, and PCB Troubleshooting and Repair Technicians. Establish goals and metrics; prepare and administer the annual budget.
  • Provide Quality perspective for necessary Manufacturing Management decisions and ensure Quality Department participation and input in daily manufacturing meetings.
  • Promote a Quality mentality across the Manufacturing Department, and be an ambassador of Quality for the entire Biamp organization.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years experience in Quality and Quality Management and Engineering.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems with experience obtaining and maintaining ISO certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing practices; Six Sigma green belt required, black belt preferred.
  • Experience with electronics manufacturing processes and equipment and associated industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with proven ability to use Quality tools such as SPC and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Strong computer skills including basic knowledge of computer-based manufacturing applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization with the ability to teach quality improvement methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage, teach, and direct teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff to maintain process improvement and high standards.

Sheet Metal Machine Operator

Biamp Systems is looking for a Sheet Metal Machine Operator to operate the press brake, punch press, and other metal forming machines for the creation of BIAMP products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Follow written work instructions regarding machine calibration and set up, materials required, and sequence of operations
  • Operate Punch Press, Press Brake, and/or Hardware insertion machine according to FIFO rules
  • Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunction
  • Inspect completed parts to ensure compliance with Biamp quality and dimensional standards
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials to Production Lead or Supervisor
  • Stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces
  • Perform routine maintenance of machine

SMT Operator - 2nd Shift

The SMT Set up Operator will work as part of a team responsible for operating a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process line, ensuring completed work meets all quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sets up and operates a variety of automatic machines including screen printer, pick and place machines, reflow oven, and Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) machine used to produce Biamp products
  • Changes out and/or replenishes feeders on SMT machines to maximize productive run time
  • Troubleshoots machine error conditions in order to rectify the problem and return to production
  • Escalates issues to Lead or Supervisor as appropriate
  • Performs quality inspections throughout and at the end of the process line, ensuring completed work meets all quality standards
  • Performs general rework and repair of PCBs according to IPC-A-610 specifications
  • Follows established safety and Electrostatic Dissipation (ESD) guidelines and usage of protective gear
  • Maintains a clean and organized work station and recycles/disposes of scrap materials
  • Cross-trains in other areas and provides training to coworkers as needed to build flexibility of the Production team
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and 1 to 2 years of electronic assembly experience
  • Institute for Printed Circuits IPC-A-610 Certification preferred
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills with ability to read and comprehend work instructions written in English
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Software Quality Assurance Engineer

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer, located in Beaverton, OR, is responsible for testing existing Biamp products, as well as integration and validation of new products. Careful analysis and identification of quality issues with software is needed. In addition to testing skills, software development skills are highly desired.

Responsibilities include:

  • Test application (GUI) software in conjunction with networked audio/media systems running embedded software
  • Develop and document strategies for efficient testing of our products
  • Develop, execute and maintain test cases
  • Verify defect fixes, including regression testing of appropriate related areas
  • Clearly communicate status
  • Work effectively with remote teams
  • Assist with troubleshooting of customer-reported issues
  • Develop utilities to automate testing tasks

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSCS, BSCE, BSEE or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and driven for success, though also able to take direction
  • Methodical approach to problem solving with careful attention to details
  • At least 5 years industry experience testing systems containing both hardware and software
  • Basic understanding of networking (ISO model, switches, routers, TCP/IP, Telnet/SSH)
