Area Manager - Northern Illinois

BIAMP Systems is looking for an Area Manager who is experienced in achieving sales forecasts. Making sales calls calling on the identified integrators, consultants, and end users, in both the AV and IT spaces will not be foreign to the right candidate. This individual will also possess the ability to develop and manage a new sales channel for recently launched platforms like our Vocia product line. Demonstrating great communications skills with their past managers will be a must.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all elements of the business relationship between Biamp and its integrators
  • Maintaining, refining and, when necessary, changing the currently set-up Biamp distribution network
  • Training integrators, consultants, and End Users on all aspects of Biamp’s equipment, its functions and its uses, with special emphasis on the Audia, Nexia, and Tesira Digital Audio Platforms as well as our Vocia Critical Paging System
  • Giving Biamp feedback, both technical and commercial, from customers
  • Manning trade show booths where appropriate

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience working with audio DSP especially system design using software
  • Computer networking experience (preferably including audio networking)
  • Experience in the professional audio marketplace including contacts with integrators
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with Biamp’s integrators
  • Ability to give both technical and sales presentations to any level of attendee, from company presidents down
  • Strong self-motivation to allow efficient work in a location remote from the company’s headquarters

The successful applicant will be based within the area to be managed. The area will consist of Northern Illinois. Area Manager - West India

BIAMP Systems is looking for an Area Manager for West India who is experienced in achieving sales forecasts. Making sales calls calling on the identified integrators, consultants, architects, MEP firms and end users, in both the AV and IT spaces will not be foreign to the right candidate. This individual will also possess and have demonstrated the ability to develop and manage new key end user accounts in strategic verticals. Demonstrating great communications skills with their past superiors will be a must.

  • Predicting and Meeting the sales targets and forecasts as for the region and having a clear understanding of how the forecast will be delivered and what the regional / national market trends are that could influence this.
  • Displaying a high level of solution, vertical and product understanding and experience in Biamp domain areas.
  • Managing all elements of the business relationship between Biamp and its partners in the region and offering a quality interaction point for these partners for Biamp.
  • Offering demonstrations and training integrators, consultants, end users, architects and MEP firms on all aspects of Biamp’s equipment, its functions and its uses and application.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in the professional AV marketplace including contacts with key integrators, influencers and end users in the region.

  • Good technical audio knowledge and some computer networking experience (preferably including audio networking).
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with Biamp’s Partners.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (other regional language skills desirable).

    The position requires extensive travel within the defined regions in India and occasional international travel. The Area Manager reports to the Regional Manager SAARC.

Assembler

BIAMP Systems is looking for an Assembler to assemble electronic components for the creation of BIAMP products by following work orders, ensuring necessary materials are in stock, and reviewing work completed for any defects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receive electronic or verbal instructions for assemble order and ensures all necessary supplies are in stock.
  • Assemble components to work order specifications.
  • Examine all components for defects before and after work is completed. Report any defects to Production Supervisor.
  • Reassemble components after corrections have been made.
  • Perform regular cycle counts of supplies needed and amount of products completed.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired.
  • Previous electronics assembly experience desired.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Desktop Support Manager

BIAMP Systems is looking for a Desktop Support Manager to join our growing Information Systems team. In this new position, you will oversee the operation of the helpdesk, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality technical support to all users. You will be responsible for the end-user computing environment, including devices, services, and software, ensuring we have the tools in place to effectively manage and secure these endpoints worldwide. You will assist in the drafting and execution of computing and security policies, and ensure the deployment of appropriate best practices. In collaboration with the rest of the IT Operations team, along with decision-makers in other departments, you will identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions that enable us to meet our business objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the IT Helpdesk, providing consistent, high-quality end-user support
  • Supervise and mentor support staff, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions
  • Manage the implementation of a robust systems management platform, enabling endpoint management, software distribution, security, patch management, and remote access for all end-user systems
  • Deploy a ticketing system for managing IT support requests

Inventory Control Specialist

Provide material support in a Lean Manufacturing environment by monitoring the level and accuracy of inventory using the cycle count program to trouble shoot procedural errors and inventory discrepancies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the daily inventory cycle count program requiring inventory count accuracy and timeliness
  • Administer transaction corrections, inventory adjustments, and negative balance adjustments
  • Liaise with the Manufacturing department to troubleshoot and rectify problems arising from inventory transaction errors

Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

BIAMP Systems is looking for a Maintenance Technician who will provide maintenance and repair of production equipment in an electronics manufacturing environment. This includes surface mount and hand assembly operations, final assembly and test, metal shop, silkscreen, packaging. This includes proper documentation of maintenance and calibration records.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work under the direction of the lead maintenance technician
  • Perform preventative maintenance to plant machinery to ensure against breakdown or extensive repair
  • Inspect, repair and perform calibration to all production equipment: surface mount production equipment, power tools, punch press, test equipment, etc
  • Track and report on preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Work with Production Management to coordinate maintenance schedules
  • Assist in new equipment installations
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts for plant machinery
  • Assist in maintaining manufacturing maintenance tool crib
  • Produce effective written and oral pass downs between shifts
  • General housekeeping to keep equipment and machinery in new condition
  • Various machine shop tasks to support maintenance activities
  • Work on special projects as assigned to support production operations
  • Adhere to ESD practices
  • Interface with various levels of management within the organization

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent; additional 1-2 years in a technical training program preferred
  • Experience with hands-on maintenance and repair of electronic assembly production
  • Equipment (this may include Surface mount component placement equipment (SMT lines), AOI optical inspection systems, selective soldering equipment, X ray inspection machines, stencil washers)
  • Experience with hands on maintenance of metal shop machinery including hydraulic punch press, brake, and pneumatic hardware insertion
  • Demonstrated ability in technical problem solving, troubleshooting, and reading mechanical drawings schematics and circuit diagrams
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A working knowledge of Manager+ maintenance software is a plus
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively across different groups and shifts
  • Good customer service skills and a willing attitude
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Motivated with the ability to work with little daily supervision
  • Available to work some weekends and off-hours as the job requires

Receiving Inspector

The Receiving Inspector will receive and inspect all field returns (Return to Stock and Return to Customer) and raw materials to stock in inventory or deliver to repair department. They will also assure accurate physical receiving of materials/product in order to maintain integrity of inventory control, and insures delivery of materials/product to the proper department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receive, inspect and label all incoming parts for use within production
  • Receive and deliver all incoming MRO Purchases
  • Receive and deliver all incoming product returns
  • Input, reallocate, and track incoming returns and raw material using CRM System

  • Deliver previously received parts to appropriate locations

SMT Set-Up Operator - 2nd Shift

SMT Set up Operator will be responsible for picking parts, set up and tear down feeders, cycle count, put parts away, bake boards, label boards and assist SMT lines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Bake and label boards
  • Pull parts and set up feeders for production build
  • Tear down feeders and put parts away
  • Stock incoming parts while maintaining First In First Out (FIFO) process
  • Sequence product for production according to a build schedule
  • Monitor production lines for parts needed
  • Assist production lines
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in work areas
  • Conduct cycle counts
  • Organize and clean SMT set up area

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and FIFO
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, write and follow instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to understand part numbering system
  • Must be available to work over-time when needed
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment
