Biamp Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification

BEAVERTON, Oregon — Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems that power the world's most sophisticated AV installations, today announced that the company has received its ISO 9001:2008 certification. The scope of the certificate includes Biamp's design and manufacture of audio equipment including voice alarm control and indicating equipment. The certification underscores Biamp's commitment to production of the highest quality, ongoing innovation of product features and delivering customer satisfaction.

"Quality has always been a part of Biamp's mission, but it's also our passion," said Steve Metzger, President of Biamp Systems. "Obtaining the ISO 9001 certification supports who we are and what we do as a company. I am thrilled that we have earned this certification, which showcases our absolute commitment to quality."

The ISO 9000 family of certifications addresses quality management and is awarded to companies that fulfill customers' quality requirements and meet regulatory requirements, while aiming to enhance customer satisfaction and striving for continual improvement of products' performance. The ISO 9001:2008 certification takes a systematic approach to ensuring a company manufactures products that meet customers' needs and expectations.

The certificate is only one in a growing list of industry benchmarks that Biamp products have achieved. In 2010, Biamp was the first US-based company to meet the strenuous EN 54-16 product certification with its Vocia product. The Vocia design was so meticulous that it was EN 54-16 certified — the certification standard that replaced EN 60849 — ahead of its April 1st effective date.

"Quality has always been a part of Biamp's mission, but it's also our passion."

- STEVE METZGER, PRESIDENT OF BIAMP SYSTEMS

Beyond high quality manufacturing, the full Biamp experience supports each customer who sells and integrates them. This begins with a five-year hardware warranty for all Biamp products, and a promise that the company will repair or replace any nonconforming product. That commitment to quality extends one step further to include Biamp System's support infrastructure that provides worldwide technical, sales and customer support twenty-four hours a day, six days a week. Additionally, Biamp Systems regularly develops and hosts product training sessions that have received acclaim throughout the industry.

"The level of commitment at Biamp to the product quality, as well as a higher standard for customer service, is what makes the Biamp experience so unique," continued Metzger. "When you purchase an Audia or a Nexia or a Vocia, you're getting the heart and soul of our employees and a promise that we'll always be there to back you up."
