Applications Engineer - Brisbane, Australia

The Applications Engineer will assist customers with technical questions as well as product and design problems in our Brisbane, Australia office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Product and design difficulties via phone and email
  • Conducting beta testing of new products
  • Providing input and guidance for the creation of operation manuals for new products
  • Assisting with product set-up and staging at tradeshows
  • Providing customer training

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 or more years experience providing audio technical support
  • Experience with computer networking and advanced audio DSP technology, audio design and audio equipment set-up
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is located in our Brisbane, Australia office. We offer a competitive relocation package should the successful candidate not reside in the Brisbane, Australia area. Remuneration is negotiable, dependent on your experience and skills

Brand Manager

The Brand Manager will translate technical product features and benefits into messages that resonate with decision makers to drive the purchase decision and shorten the adoption time. As a member of the marketing department, the Brand Manager develops, executes and evaluates marketing programs to increase brand awareness, market share and profitable growth. This position requires an understanding of Biamp’s customers, vertical markets, products and systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Works closely with the Marketing Director to develop strategic and tactical levels for planning, messaging and program execution to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Manages development, production, and execution of marketing programs and provides proactive and continuous communication of status to all stakeholders.
  • Ensures organizational standards for quality, cost effectiveness, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Works with external agencies and suppliers to deliver integrated marketing programs.
  • Negotiates with external suppliers and manages deliverables and project or campaign budgets.
  • Plans and conducts market research to develop decision maker profiles and understands the purchase process and reasons for purchase.
  • Builds relationships with sales channels and identifies stories that can be leveraged in the media to raise awareness of the company, the products or the applications.
  • Documents competitive activity and related industry news and communicates key findings/insights to marketing group.
  • Tracks marketing programs and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness; evaluates and demonstrates results; and writes post-event reports.
  • Assists with planning and execution of sales meetings and other company-sponsored events.
  • Helps establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials and events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably focused on Advertising, Communications or Marketing; MBA preferred.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience developing and executing integrated product launch campaigns while working at an advertising agency or global marketing department.
  • Quickly grasps complex ideas and technologies and can communicate these to creative teams, freelance writers or other non-technical resources in a way they will understand.
  • Proven ability to develop effective integrated marketing campaigns in the print, digital and interactive media, and social media environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of market research principles and applications.
  • Successfully contribute to cross-functional teams including representatives from product management, manufacturing, engineering, support, sales, etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and is personable, energetic, responsive and confident.
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects and build relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well independently and in teams; self-driven and passionate about delivering excellence.
  • Conveys a professional image and effectively represents the organization and the marketing department.
  • Contributes to a collaborative and engaging work environment.
  • Must be willing to travel 25% of time.
