What information do we collect and why?
Biamp Systems only collects personal information about users when it is specifically and knowingly provided by the user. Examples of the information collected on this site includes name, company, user name, password, e-mail address, and phone number.
We use this information to:
- verify your identity (for example when you log in);
- facilitate your participation in discussion forums;
- personalize your experience on our website;
- administer contests, promotion, surveys or other site features;
- process transactions; and
- with your consent, periodically send you emails about our products and services.
We may also ask you for other optional information such as what type of [equipment/device/software] you use and what other subjects interest you. If you choose to give us this information, we will use it to provide you with the best possible service that is personalized to your needs and preferences.
Although we do not make it compulsory to give us every item of information we ask for, the more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we can tailor our services for you.
Non-personal information and cookies
We may collect non-personal information about you such as the type of internet browsers you use or the site from which you linked to our site. You cannot be identified from this information and it is only used to assist us in providing an effective service on our site. IP addresses are automatically logged by our web server, and are used to help us administer the site and to collect broad demographic information about users' interest in this website (number of visits, etc) for aggregate use.
Cookies are very small text files saved to your computer used to track user navigation around a website. Biamp Systems uses session cookies to identify unique users to our sites. They are not cross-referenced with any other information such that an individual person could be identified.
Disclosure of information to outside parties
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties unless legally obliged or entitled to do so (for example, if required to do so by court order or for the purposes of fraud or other crime). However, this does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep your information confidential. Non-personal information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising or other uses.
Information on products and services
It is very important that we provide you with the highest level of service. In order to help us do this, from time to time we may send you, with your consent, details of our products and services which we think may be of interest to you. If at any time you do not wish to continue to receive these emails, you can opt-out by using the 'unsubscribe' option located on each of our email communications.
Forums are for public discussion. Any personal information supplied by users during these discussions is widely accessible and you should be careful when deciding to disclose your personal information. Biamp Systems is not responsible for the content posted by users of these services.
