Tesira SERVER

As businesses evolve, processing needs tend to expand over time. That's why Tesira SERVER delivers highly scalable processing that can grow over time to suit end customers' changing requirements. A single chassis supports up to eight DSP-2 cards, plus an integral AVB card and a slot for any server card including any network card for AVB, Dante, or CobraNet®. Tesira SERVER is built for maximum flexibility, enabling I/O devices to be located at end points. Any I/O device can harness available processing. Backup plans are important, which is why Tesira SERVER can be deployed in redundant pairs. With redundancy in place, one SERVER will be designated as primary, while the second server will be designated as secondary. The secondary monitors the primary's activities, including any changes to settings or functions, and adapts itself in real-time. If the primary fails for any reason, the secondary will take over the audio processing and proxying of any expander devices. Redundancy gives you the confidence that a system will continue functioning normally, with minimal audio disruption and without compromising any mission-critical functions, all without any human intervention. Tesira SERVER also allows you to build out the rest of your system using expanders, making it a cost-effective choice for installations of any size and supporting future growth.

An integral network card provides network connection for configuration setup and control of the Tesira network. Tesira SERVER's modular DSP features Biamp SpeechSense™ and AmbientSense™ algorithms, which enhance speech processing by distinguishing between noise and human speech more accurately. The DSP also provides extensive audio processing, including (but not limited to): signal routing and mixing, equalization, filtering, dynamics, and delay; as well as control, monitoring, and diagnostic tools. All of these elements are configured through the Tesira designer software.

With so much scalable power, Tesira SERVER can help you do more with less. That translates into future-proof profits.

    • Tesira Firmware v3.0.0.60
**Please note that there is a known issue in the public release version 3.0.0 of Tesira Firmware.**

The issue can cause Tesira expanders to occasionally become undiscoverable on the network, which causes a loss of audio to/from those expanders. This issue only affects Tesira systems that include Expanders and are set up in “separate” network mode, meaning that the Control network is completely isolated from the AVB network. It will not affect systems that are in “converged” network mode, which is the default (and more common) configuration.

If your system meets this criteria or if you have questions regarding this issue, please contact the Biamp Technical Support Team at 1-877-BIAMP-XO for more information.
