Area Manager - Northern Illinois

BIAMP Systems is looking for an Area Manager who is experienced in achieving sales forecasts. Making sales calls calling on the identified integrators, consultants, and end users, in both the AV and IT spaces will not be foreign to the right candidate. This individual will also possess the ability to develop and manage a new sales channel for recently launched platforms like our Vocia product line. Demonstrating great communications skills with their past managers will be a must.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all elements of the business relationship between Biamp and its integrators
  • Maintaining, refining and, when necessary, changing the currently set-up Biamp distribution network
  • Training integrators, consultants, and End Users on all aspects of Biamp’s equipment, its functions and its uses, with special emphasis on the Audia, Nexia, and Tesira Digital Audio Platforms as well as our Vocia Critical Paging System
  • Giving Biamp feedback, both technical and commercial, from customers
  • Manning trade show booths where appropriate

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience working with audio DSP especially system design using software
  • Computer networking experience (preferably including audio networking)
  • Experience in the professional audio marketplace including contacts with integrators
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with Biamp’s integrators
  • Ability to give both technical and sales presentations to any level of attendee, from company presidents down
  • Strong self-motivation to allow efficient work in a location remote from the company’s headquarters

The successful applicant will be based within the area to be managed. The area will consist of Northern Illinois. The position requires about 50-75% travel within the area as well as many as 2 trips per year to BIAMP’s facility in Beaverton, OR. Area Manager - West India

BIAMP Systems is looking for an Area Manager for West India who is experienced in achieving sales forecasts. Making sales calls calling on the identified integrators, consultants, architects, MEP firms and end users, in both the AV and IT spaces will not be foreign to the right candidate. This individual will also possess and have demonstrated the ability to develop and manage new key end user accounts in strategic verticals. Demonstrating great communications skills with their past superiors will be a must.

Responsibilities include:

  • Predicting and Meeting the sales targets and forecasts as for the region and having a clear understanding of how the forecast will be delivered and what the regional / national market trends are that could influence this.
  • Displaying a high level of solution, vertical and product understanding and experience in Biamp domain areas.
  • Managing all elements of the business relationship between Biamp and its partners in the region and offering a quality interaction point for these partners for Biamp.
  • Offering demonstrations and training integrators, consultants, end users, architects and MEP firms on all aspects of Biamp’s equipment, its functions and its uses and application.
  • Regularly meeting, offering presentations, using marketing collateral with integrators, consultants, end users, architects and MEP firms and other strategic partners and users to improve Biamp company and product awareness.
  • Giving Biamp feedback, both technical and commercial, from customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in the professional AV marketplace including contacts with key integrators, influencers and end users in the region.
  • The ability to identify and develop strategic end user accounts in chosen vertical segments. Good research and cold calling skills are a must.
  • Good technical audio knowledge and some computer networking experience (preferably including audio networking).
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with Biamp’s Partners.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (other regional language skills desirable).
  • Ability to give both technical and sales presentations.
  • Good computer skills, including working knowledge of the MS Office suite (including PowerPoint) as well as preferably audio DSP unit ‘drag and drop’ software and CAD programs.

    The position requires extensive travel within the defined regions in India and occasional international travel. The Area Manager reports to the Regional Manager SAARC.

Buyer II

The Buyer II is responsible for all purchasing functions, ranging from MRO buys to all production material purchasing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Order materials to meet anticipated production requirements established by Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
  • Facilitate the timely delivery of parts, components, and supplies to support production.
  • Prepare reports summarizing production-related information such as material overages and shortages.
  • Prepare forecasting analyses and facilitate communication to suppliers.
  • Track shortages/late orders and complete system updates.
  • Analyze and execute MRP Exception Report.
  • Manage rejected component returns and Supplier corrective action administration.
  • Analyze and resolves cost/price discrepancies.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers.
  • Review existing processes, looking for and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Manage and evaluate Breadman and Bond Programs.
  • Perform quarterly analysis on safety stocks.
  • Establish and maintain KanBan deliveries from suppliers.
  • Complete other projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred with emphasis in operations management/supply chain.
  • Minimum four years’ experience in procurement or other experience related to contract negotiation, pricing, cost management, or material planning.
  • APICS certification and experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and strength with MRP / ERP.
  • Resourceful and analytical mindset with advanced problem-solving and Excel skills.
  • High energy and drive with ability to process complex situations thoroughly yet quickly.
  • Able to balance priorities and follow up on action items; excellent follow-through and reporting capabilities.

Education & Applications Engineering Administrator

Biamp Systems is seeking an Education & Applications Engineering Administrator who will perform administrative functions for the global Education and Applications department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Respond to inquiries and correspond with customers regarding Biamp training
  • Interface with vendors such as catering, hotel, restaurants, and transportation
  • Manage training supply levels for Factory training
  • Manage vendor invoices
  • Help enter data, maintain, update training and customer contact databases
  • Coordinate shipments of equipment and supplies to remote training locations and staff Globally
  • Take training calls and route applications calls when busy

ERP Software Engineer

Biamp Systems is seeking an experienced ERP Software Engineer to perform the below qualifications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writes new software, makes modifications to existing software, or integrates software applications and modules in accordance with agreed upon specifications
  • Creates and executes unit testing ensuring software meets requirements
  • Creates SSRS reports
  • Maintain Microsoft SharePoint Services for use in the Enterprise Portal
  • Develops and maintains integrations with other enterprise business applications
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair issues with both Microsoft Dynamics AX and SQL Server
  • Provides technical support to operations or other development teams
  • Creates, reviews, and maintains all required technical documentation/manual related to assigned software to ensure supportability and reuse
  • Participates in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work
  • Demonstrates to business users software application solutions and reports as requested

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related degree or experience

Master Planner

As a member of the Supply Chain group, the Master Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining the ERP/MRP master production plan to ensure demand and supply are balanced and key operational metrics are achieved. The Master Planner leads the planning process that aligns demand, capacity, and inventory and synchronizes the execution of all production activities. As well, the Master Planner is a key leader in identifying and initiating supply chain related continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzes/Interprets Materials and Manufacturing inputs and Sales forecasts and history to create, organize, adjust, and control the ERP/MRP monthly master schedule operations plan.
  • Analyzes plans and schedules to identify risks and opportunities, providing clear impact diagnosis and proposing alternative approaches or planning scenarios.
  • Works with Customer Service to understand planning for delivery of product in backlog and the possibility of BLIPS/large orders. Leads planning for BLIPS/large orders with Buyers and Production Supervisors to determine and then meet delivery commitments.
  • Oversees Buyer/Planner teams to ensure accurate and executable production schedules for each product group.
  • Plays a central role in identifying and leading continuous improvement activities associated with operations planning and scheduling.
  • Maintains Microsoft AX ERP System. Enters and modifies data to ensure the correctness of product hierarchies.
  • Monitors and maintains defined FGI levels.
  • Acts as liaison between the Materials group and Customer Service, providing feedback on material and capacity constraints that may affect the customer.
  • Acts as a backup for the OEM Planner/Buyer.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Professional degree or its equivalent.
  • Requires at least five (5) years of experience in master scheduling.
  • Supply planning or supply chain certifications (CPIM, APICS, etc.) preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and mastery in forecasting, material and resource planning, and material supply chains.
  • Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and material planning functions. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred.
  • Deep understanding of MRP runs and Bills of Material (BOM).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communications, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with lean manufacturing principals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Product Manager - Unified Communications

The BIAMP Product Manager will be experienced in and familiar with both the UC and the AV markets and have successfully targeted installers, integrators, consultants or IT managers with new product introductions. The Product Manager will develop, launch and support new and existing products throughout the entire product life cycle. Responsibilities will include scanning markets for new product opportunities, performing research, developing use cases, communicating market requirements, interfacing across departments, planning go-to-market strategies, and monitoring and managing select products throughout their life cycle. The Product Manager will possess a blend of business and technical competence, and will be able to communicate effectively within a cross-functional team setting (including end-user customers).

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with internal and external resources to identify new market opportunities
  • Drive product definitions and requirements through research, balancing business and customer needs with competencies
  • Define the long term strategy of the product and create/maintain the product roadmap
  • Interact with cross-functional teams, create Business cases, MND’s and PDD’s, inform the go-to-market strategy, and drive the product life cycle
  • Communicate product status, key issues and launch plans to key constituents across the BIAMP organization including senior management, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Technical Support teams
  • Analyze business opportunities for the best use of resources and return on investment, and present justified recommendations
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and measure product performance to identify key levers of improvement
  • Contribute to the identification of the legal and regulatory requirements/constraints for product deployment into various geographies
  • Work with Marketing Communications and Sales to define and manage product launch including: positioning and market segmentation, messaging, pricing, promotion, sales strategy, customer training and support
  • Interface with Marketing Communications and Sales to guide the creation of manuals, product literature, white papers, technical presentations, and sales tools
  • Manage select products on an ongoing basis, including product line extensions and enhancements, forecasting, and related activities
  • This position requires travel (average ~25%)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience as a Product Manager in the Unified Communications/Distance Conferencing industry is a must with both hard or soft CODEC as well as DSP experience
  • Experience with manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Demonstrated skills in developing use cases, performing market research, developing and communicating requirements, and successfully launching new products
  • An ability to think strategically, yet implement at the tactical level
  • Strong analytical problem solving, organizational, and product management skills absolutely required

SMT Set-Up Operator - Swing Shift

SMT Set up Operator will be responsible for picking parts, set up and tear down feeders, cycle count, put parts away, bake boards, label boards and assist SMT lines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Bake and label boards
  • Pull parts and set up feeders for production build
  • Tear down feeders and put parts away
  • Stock incoming parts while maintaining First In First Out (FIFO) process
  • Sequence product for production according to a build schedule
  • Monitor production lines for parts needed

Technical Support Specialist

The Technical Support Specialist will be part of the Applications Engineering group and assist in supporting customers and Biamp installations. This position will provide first level technical support duties and provide assistance to application engineers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Telephone and email technical support
  • Log and track RAs/cases using CRM
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to application engineers
  • Trade show and training support
  • Technical documentation

Technical Training Coordinator

Biamp Systems is seeking a Technical Training Coordinator to develop and deliver training on Biamp System’s products in a variety of methods, including in-person instructor led, live webinar, and self-paced online training to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary or backup instructor for up to 50% of all training topics across all Biamp product lines
  • Organize and maintain technical classroom environment for weekly training courses
  • Responsible to ensure all in-person training classes are staff appropriately and run smoothly from start to finish
  • Work with Biamp Sales staff to develop technical training materials and demonstrations they conduct in the field
  • Build and Maintain demonstration equipment racks that showcase Biamp products and features.
  • Develop course content for in-person and online self-paced training courses
  • Participate in Trade Shows
  • Take a leading project manager role on occasional training room improvement projects
  • Facilitate self-paced online courses and provide technical support for customers utilizing online training
  • Research new technical training methods and technologies

Minimum Requirements:

  • A passion for instructing and learning about new technology
  • Self-starting, self-motivating individual who is able to work with little direct supervision
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in at least two of the following areas:
    1. Technical training in a classroom or online environment
    2. Providing audio technical support or audio system design using audio DSP software
    3. Providing computer networking technical support
  • Strong Instructional and Facilitation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks, assigning priorities based on changing needs
  • Create multi-media training content for use with online and in-person training classes
