Applications Engineer - Beaverton

The Applications Engineer will assist customers with technical questions, product and design problems, technical training, and occasional site visits. The position will require daily interaction with Biamp customers, consultants, and sales representatives dealing with a variety of complex technical issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshoot product and design difficulties over the phone and via email
  • Conduct customer training
  • Provide input and guidance for the creation of operations manuals for new products
  • Conduct beta testing of new products
  • Onsite visits to troubleshoot and assist Biamp customers.
  • Assist with product set-up and staging at tradeshows

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years experience providing audio technical support, audio design and audio equipment set-up.

Area Manager - Australia & New Zealand

Biamp Systems, a leading manufacturer of professional electronics for use in the installed audio market, based in Portland, Oregon, USA, is currently recruiting for a new Area Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all elements of the business relationship between Biamp and its distributor and integrators.
  • Predicting and Meeting the sales targets and forecasts as for the region and having a clear understanding of how the forecast will be delivered and what the regional / national market trends are that could influence this.
  • Maintaining, refining and, when necessary, changing the currently set-up Biamp distribution network within the region.
  • Training both distributors and dealers on all aspects of Biamp’s equipment, its functions and its uses, with special emphasis on the Tesira, Vocia, Audia and Nexia Digital Audio Platforms.
  • Giving sales and technical presentations directly to consultants and key end-users in the region.
  • Giving Biamp feedback, both technical and commercial, from customers in the region.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in the South Asia-Pacific professional audio marketplace including contacts with key distributors and dealers in the region.

Area Manager - Northern Illinois

BIAMP Systems is looking for an Area Manager who is experienced in achieving sales forecasts. Making sales calls calling on the identified integrators, consultants, and end users, in both the AV and IT spaces will not be foreign to the right candidate. This individual will also possess the ability to develop and manage a new sales channel for recently launched platforms like our Vocia product line. Demonstrating great communications skills with their past managers will be a must.

Area Manager - West India

BIAMP Systems is looking for an Area Manager for West India who is experienced in achieving sales forecasts. Making sales calls calling on the identified integrators, consultants, architects, MEP firms and end users, in both the AV and IT spaces will not be foreign to the right candidate. ERP Software Engineer

Biamp Systems is seeking an experienced ERP Software Engineer to perform the below qualifications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writes new software, makes modifications to existing software, or integrates software applications and modules in accordance with agreed upon specifications
  • Creates and executes unit testing ensuring software meets requirements
  • Creates SSRS reports
  • Maintain Microsoft SharePoint Services for use in the Enterprise Portal
  • Develops and maintains integrations with other enterprise business applications
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair issues with both Microsoft Dynamics AX and SQL Server
  • Provides technical support to operations or other development teams

Biamp Systems is seeking a General Accountant to perform the general accounting tasks within Biamp systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and entry of month end journals for US and international Biamp companies
  • Produce consolidated financial statements for review by management
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
  • Maintain the companies fixed asset tracking system
  • Produce ad hoc financial analysis as required

Master Planner

As a member of the Supply Chain group, the Master Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining the ERP/MRP master production plan to ensure demand and supply are balanced and key operational metrics are achieved. The Master Planner leads the planning process that aligns demand, capacity, and inventory and synchronizes the execution of all production activities. As well, the Master Planner is a key leader in identifying and initiating supply chain related continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzes/Interprets Materials and Manufacturing inputs and Sales forecasts and history to create, organize, adjust, and control the ERP/MRP monthly master schedule operations plan.
  • Analyzes plans and schedules to identify risks and opportunities, providing clear impact diagnosis and proposing alternative approaches or planning scenarios.
  • Works with Customer Service to understand planning for delivery of product in backlog and the possibility of BLIPS/large orders. Leads planning for BLIPS/large orders with Buyers and Production Supervisors to determine and then meet delivery commitments.
  • Oversees Buyer/Planner teams to ensure accurate and executable production schedules for each product group.
  • Plays a central role in identifying and leading continuous improvement activities associated with operations planning and scheduling.
  • Maintains Microsoft AX ERP System. Enters and modifies data to ensure the correctness of product hierarchies.
  • Monitors and maintains defined FGI levels.
  • Acts as liaison between the Materials group and Customer Service, providing feedback on material and capacity constraints that may affect the customer.
  • Acts as a backup for the OEM Planner/Buyer.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Professional degree or its equivalent.
  • Requires at least five (5) years of experience in master scheduling.
  • Supply planning or supply chain certifications (CPIM, APICS, etc.) preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and mastery in forecasting, material and resource planning, and material supply chains.
  • Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and material planning functions. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred.
  • Deep understanding of MRP runs and Bills of Material (BOM).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communications, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Refill Kanbans
  • Pull and issue parts kits for production builds
  • Stock incoming parts while maintaining First In First Out (FIFO) process
  • Sequence product for production according to a build schedule
  • Monitor assigned areas for shortages

The PCBA Lead - Troubleshooting Technician contributes individual skills and expertise in the Troubleshooting and Repair area while also acting as a more experienced resource to other staff working in their assigned area. PCBA Repair Technician

The PCBA Repair Technician is responsible for the repair of digital and analog audio printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA’s) to Class 2 (or better) IPC Standards by replacing surface mount and through-hole components, including fine pitch and ball grid array devices.

Essential Functions:

    Removal and replacement of all types of PCBA components to Class 2 or better IPC Standards
  • Complete material movement transactions in DAX shop floor control system
  • Accurately record defect causes and rework performed in quality records database

Secondary Functions:

  • Visually inspect PCBA’s and other product hardware
  • Test basic PCBA’s per established process

PCBA Troubleshooting Technician

The PCBA Troubleshooting Technician determines the source(s) of failure on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA’s) deemed defective by electrical tests performed as part of the manufacturing process.

Essential Functions:

    Troubleshoot digital and analog circuits down to the component level and specify needed repairs/rework
  • Complete material movement transactions in DAX shop floor control system
  • Accurately record defect causes in quality records database

Secondary Functions:

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects as appropriate

  • Has training in and experience with Lean manufacturing principles
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and is able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methods

Production Lead - Test

The Production Lead contributes individual skills and expertise in daily production while also acting as a more experienced resource to other production staff working in their assigned area. Handles higher level tasks within their assigned team and acts as a focal point for continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

Essential Functions:

SMT Set-Up Operator - Swing Shift

SMT Set up Operator will be responsible for picking parts, set up and tear down feeders, cycle count, put parts away, bake boards, label boards and assist SMT lines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Bake and label boards
  • Pull parts and set up feeders for production build
  • Tear down feeders and put parts away
  • Stock incoming parts while maintaining First In First Out (FIFO) process
  • Sequence product for production according to a build schedule
  • Monitor production lines for parts needed
  • Assist production lines
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in work areas
  • Conduct cycle counts
  • Organize and clean SMT set up area

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and FIFO
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, write and follow instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to understand part numbering system
  • Must be available to work over-time when needed
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment

Technical Support Specialist

The technical support specialist will be part of the applications engineering group and assist in supporting customers and Biamp installations. This position will provide first level technical support duties and provide assistance to application engineers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Telephone and email technical support
  • Log and track RAs/cases using CRM
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to application engineers
  • Trade show and training support
  • Technical documentation

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience and interest in professional audio, video, and networking equipment
  • 1-2 years experience in the professional AV industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
