Biamp Joins Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform

BEAVERTON, Ore., and LAS VEGAS, USA — Biamp, a leading provider of professional audiovisual solutions, today announced it has joined the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP) program. MDEP is an enterprise-grade software platform built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Designed to meet the highest standards of security, reliability, ease of deployment, and innovation, MDEP gives enterprises and device makers a consistent, customer-ready foundation for building and deploying devices at scale. The announcement marks a significant expansion of the company’s relationship with Microsoft and establishes Biamp as the first MDEP partner to bring a native professional DSP, with automated acoustic tuning and commissioning, to the program.

"Biamp has been building professional AV solutions for enterprise meeting rooms for decades, and we understand what those environments demand. When we looked at MDEP, we saw a platform built with the same philosophy — consistency, security, and a commitment to getting the fundamentals right,” said Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development. “Joining MDEP means we can build on a foundation that enterprise IT teams already trust, and focus our energy on delivering the audio quality, depth of ecosystem, and cloud management capabilities that make Biamp unique."

Enterprise IT organizations increasingly expect collaboration devices to meet the same standards as desktops and mobile devices— managed environments, predictable security updates, and a consistent product lifecycle. MDEP delivers exactly that: hardware-based attestation, security patches from Microsoftt, and a unified integration path with Microsoft Intune, giving customers a Microsoft platform investment alongside professional AV expertise from Biamp.

The first Biamp product built on MDEP is Devio UCX, a new UC compute platform announced at InfoComm 2026. Devio UCX combines UC compute and professional-grade DSP in a single device, serving as the hub for the full Biamp peripheral ecosystem — Parlé microphones, Desono loudspeakers, Vidi cameras, and Parlé conferencing bars. It runs Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android natively, auto-commissions with Biamp Launch, and is monitored and managed through Biamp Workplace.

“MDEP reflects our commitment to providing enterprise customers with a consistent, secure, and well-supported platform experience over time. Partners like Biamp are essential in bringing that vision to life. They contribute a unique combination of professional DSP expertise and a broad peripheral ecosystem that enhances the platform. Devio UCX is the first outcome of this collaboration, and it showcases what’s possible when hardware and platform are developed with close alignment.” said Juha Kuosmanen, GM, Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform

Devio UCX is offered in three models — the UCX 1000 for smaller spaces requiring core features, the UCX 2000 for rooms requiring networked microphones and distributed speakers, and the UCX 3000 for premium environments requiring dual displays, multi-camera support, and advanced AI features.
