Enhanced Desono DX and EX Surface Mount Loudspeakers are beginning to ship, bringing greater installation flexibility and improved weather protection for demanding indoor and outdoor environments.

What’s new—and why it matters

• Mount in any orientation — Install vertically or horizontally with ClickMount or U-brackets, giving you complete design freedom to optimize coverage.
• Enhanced weather protection — An improved multi-layer sealing system delivers greater reliability in wet and exposed conditions, regardless of mounting position.
• All-inclusive out of the box — Marine-grade grilles, stainless hardware, and advanced sealing features are standard, reducing accessories, cost, and complexity.
• Easy field identification — A red “b.” mark on key components clearly distinguishes the enhanced models.

Updated documentation now available

To support these enhancements, updated materials have been posted to the Biamp.com Downloads section, including:

• Data sheets
• A&E specifications
• Product installation guides
• Accessory guides
• Technical drawings

Phased rollout underway

The enhanced versions are now entering production and will begin shipping as existing inventory is depleted. This means the transition will occur in phases, with current stock shipping first, followed by the new versions. By summertime, all Desono DX and EX Surface Mount models are expected to be shipping in their enhanced configurations.
