Earlier this month the Biamp team converged on its new office space in the Boston metro area along with customers and partners to host an official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 800 District Ave., Suite 310, Burlington, Mass.

The Boston area remains an important part of the Biamp footprint, where much of its sound masking product development originated. The new office space also reinforces Biamp’s commitment to providing a regional showplace and demo area for its Northeast U.S.-based employees, partners, and customers.

Afterward, attendees had the opportunity to tour the new demo spaces, which provide more complete and engaging environments to test out a host of Biamp products. Biamp CEO and Co-Chairman Rashid Skaf noted that the new space provides a compelling showcase to help partners and customers in the region gain a better understanding of the options and capabilities Biamp offers.

Engineered for exceptional performance when paired with Vocia voice communication systems, our new commercial ceiling loudspeakers deliver unmatched simplicity for significant installation cost savings and crystal-clear voice intelligibility—a critical requirement for any speech reinforcement application. Both the DC220T and CM10TB offer the flexibility of low impedance or 70 V/100 V operation and the high sensitivity usually expected only in larger 8-inch models. Both are UL1480A and UL2043 certified.

Now available for download, Tesira 4.6 delivers numerous updates and new features for Apprimo TEC-X control pads and Voltera amplifiers.

New Features

• The Voltera amplifier block has an added new user tab when browsing loudspeaker profiles.
• Users can now create their own loudspeaker profiles in the Voltera amplifier block.
• Users can edit existing loudspeaker profiles for the Voltera amplifier block.
• Apprimo TEC-X now supports multiple international fonts, including for right-to-left languages.
• Users can now assign up to 32 pages to a single Apprimo TEC-X.

Updates

• Added more Biamp loudspeaker profiles to the Voltera amplifier block.
• Improved compiler optimization on the Voltera amplifier blocks.
• Added “All Pass” filters into the Voltera amplifier block uber filter control.
• Added support to retrieve NPX paging station logs.
• Added support for Rev B audio expanders. All previous expanders are compatible with this new firmware, but Rev B audio expanders must use 4.6.0 or newer.
• Removed need for TesiraFORTE X USB to have both input and output blocks.
• Changed default MSRP Leave Timer to 5000ms to improve compatibility for large AVB networks.
• Improved SSH security.

The Connect-X MP6 bridges the local area network and conventional AV ports, letting installers use the convenience of Ethernet cabling to bring AV ports directly to devices. Instead of running wires up and down walls and through ceilings, the Connect-X easily connects right where the device to be controlled lives. Chances are, particularly in existing spaces, there’s a convenient ethernet drop somewhere close by. This ability to connect where the device is located makes adding the Connect-X MP6 a good option regardless of the chosen controller, especially when equipment may be distributed throughout a large room.

Weighing less than one-quarter pound (110g), the Connect-X MP6 is easily mounted using screws, double sided tape, or zip ties, which makes positioning or fastening it to the device being controlled also simple. The Connect-X MP6 is the perfect control peripheral for integrators and installers that want to get in, get the job done, and move onto the next project. The form factor, features and ease of deployment make the Connect-X MP6 a game changer in the Biamp room control family.

In their “Best of InfoComm 2023” awards, online publication rAVe named AI Noise Reduction in the Biamp TesiraFORTÉ X 400 the winner of the “Best Use of AI in ProAV” award.
