Biamp Awards 2026 Grants to Five Youth-Focused Nonprofits
BEAVERTON, Ore. — Biamp, a leading provider of professional audiovisual solutions, today announced the recipients of its 2026 Charitable Giving Grant Program. The initiative celebrates nonprofit organizations that align with the Biamp mission of harnessing audiovisual technology and creativity to enrich lives and strengthen communities.
This year's grant recipients include Youth Music Project; Art & Drama Centre Theatre (ACT); The Texas Supremacy of Music & Arts Conservatory (TSMAC); Ethos Music Center; and p:ear. Each was selected by the Biamp Charitable Leadership Committee and will receive a grant to support the organization's continued efforts to introduce underserved youth to audio engineering, live production, and audiovisual technology through hands-on music and media education.
“Supporting organizations that build community and inspire creativity through music and the arts is a meaningful cause at Biamp,” said Rashid Skaf, Biamp President, CEO, and co-Chairman. “This year’s grant recipients are giving young people real, hands-on access to the audio and video technology behind live performance and media production — skills and confidence that carry far beyond the stage. We’re proud to help them expand that access in their communities.”
Youth Music Project provides tuition-assisted rock, pop, and country music education, including sound engineering, music production, and video production classes taught in its dedicated music technology classroom, “The Lab,” and a teen live sound engineering camp.
Art & Drama Centre Theatre (ACT) gives underserved youth in North Texas — including many students on the autism spectrum — hands-on instruction in live sound operation, microphone setup, acoustics, and digital mixing from degreed audio technicians on staff.
The Texas Supremacy of Music & Arts Conservatory (TSMAC) immerses students in live sound production and event management through programs such as its Power Camp and Summer Marching Band Camp, reaching more than 799 students in 2025 alone.
Ethos Music Center offers hands-on training in sound, audiovisual technology, and media production through its Community Hub and Broadcast Media initiative, giving youth direct experience with recording, mixing, and live broadcast equipment.
p:ear supports youth experiencing homelessness in Portland’s Old Town/Chinatown through its “p:ear Jam” music program, offering recording opportunities in a sound-insulated studio and mentorship from local musicians.
In addition to the annual grant program, Biamp extends its commitment to music and the arts through its sponsorship of the Portland Jazz Festival. Biamp also sponsors volunteer initiatives and partnerships with a range of global and local organizations. Past collaborators include the Young Audiences; PDX Pop Now!; Theater in the Grove; Rock 'n Roll Camp for Girls; Shared Studios; and Habitat for Humanity.
