Biamp Celebrates 50 Years of Innovation with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for History Museum Grand Opening
BEAVERTON, Ore. — Biamp, a leading supplier of professional audiovisual solutions, yesterday celebrated its 50-year anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly opened Biamp History Museum located at its global headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The milestone event brought together employees, industry partners, community members, local political leaders, and special guests to commemorate half a century of innovation and technological excellence that has shaped the professional AV industry.
The Biamp History Museum brings the company's remarkable 50-year journey to life through an extensive collection of products, photographs, and memorabilia that chronicle the evolution of Biamp from startup to global industry leader. Among the museum's most compelling exhibits is the story of the company's unique origins: Biamp traces its roots to a member of the famous Portland band The Kingsmen, who performed the iconic hit "Louie Louie." This rock 'n' roll heritage reflects the creativity, passion, and innovative spirit that continue to define the Biamp culture and approach to technology today.
"Our 50-year anniversary is a testament to the ingenuity, dedication, and passion of every person who has been part of the Biamp story," said Rashid Skaf, President, CEO, and Co-Chairman, Biamp. "This museum isn't just about looking back—it's about honoring the foundation that allows us to continue pushing boundaries and creating solutions that transform how people communicate and collaborate. From our rock 'n' roll beginnings to today's extraordinary AV technologies, the spirit of ingenuity has remained constant."
The celebration featured light appetizers and refreshments, creating a warm, festive atmosphere for guests to explore the museum's exhibits and connect with colleagues and community members. A highlight of the afternoon was a special musical performance by the Youth Music Project from West Linn, Oregon, a recipient of the Biamp Charitable Grant program, whose talented young musicians provided a fitting tribute to the musical heritage of Biamp and the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local community.
"Fifty years of sustained innovation and growth is extraordinary in any industry," said Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, Biamp. "As we open this museum and reflect on our journey, we're energized by the opportunities ahead. The same pioneering spirit that launched this company in 1976 continues to drive us forward as we develop the next generation of AV solutions."
The Biamp History Museum will serve as a permanent homage to the company's legacy and a source of inspiration for its next chapter, available for employees and guests to enjoy at its global headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
