Biamp Unveils Redesigned VenuePolar Plugin and Community LVH-900 for Line Array Performance in Medium Size Spaces

BEAVERTON, Ore., and LAS VEGAS, USA — Biamp, a leading provider of professional audiovisual solutions, today announced the redesigned VenuePolar Plugin for EASE® Focus 3 and next-generation Community LVH-900 loudspeaker system, now available in two simplified models (the LVH-906 and LVH-909) with color and weather resistant variations. The enhanced Community LVH-900 puts fully steerable line array performance into an architecturally elegant point source —opening up, for the first time, point source simplicity and fully steerable line array precision to medium-sized venues, where acoustics and aesthetics must coexist. The VenuePolar Plugin guides any integrator or consultant through every critical decision, so fully custom-steered systems are accessible to all and guaranteed to perform. Together, these enhancements provide point source simplicity and fully steerable line array precision, ideal for a wide range of medium-sized venues, from houses of worship to stadiums and auditoriums, to education facilities, that demand both.

"Customers want great sound and a beautiful space, but it's difficult to get both within budget, especially in medium-sized venues. Our new VenuePolar plugin gives customers exactly what they want from the LVH-900 — the performance of a line array in a smaller, point source footprint making it easier to design, install, and support," said Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, Biamp. “The ability to deliver fully custom steered coverage as a self-service solution is truly extraordinary. We've eliminated barriers for practically any designer to create asymmetric patterns optimized for their specific venue in minutes instead of weeks, while maintaining the acoustic precision and architectural elegance that makes the LVH-900 an industry favorite."

The Community LVH-900 set the standard as the only large-venue loudspeaker capable of fully custom, asymmetric vertical beam coverage by directing sound precisely to the audience while avoiding the reflective surfaces that degrade clarity—such as rear walls, balconies, and stages—making it an effective solution for midsize entertainment venues and houses or worship, not just large stadiums and indoor arenas.

The redesign of the Biamp VenuePolar Plugin makes custom steered coverage self-service for the first time. Any acoustical consultant or integrator can now design exact venue coverage in minutes — no specialist required. VenuePolar guides every designer through cabinet configuration, system EQ, and beam optimization automatically, delivering a streamlined workflow that integrates directly with EASE Focus 3 from AFMG.

Equally significant, the company’s proprietary finite impulse response (FIR) processing now delivers a fixed six milliseconds of system latency regardless of configuration. This breakthrough opens the LVH-900 to live performance monitoring and broadcast applications for the first time, enabling lip-sync accuracy previously impossible with FIRmaker-based steering systems.

“The upgraded VenuePolar Plugin is the very first of its kind, as it combines the powerful plug-in interface of EASE Focus with the groundbreaking beam-steering algorithms of our FIRmaker optimization module into a single workflow solution. This makes the expanded capabilities of the LVH-900 series available to any user at a fingertip. We are very happy to support this innovative development,” said Dr. Stefan Feistel, head of AFMG Technologies GmbH, manufacturer of EASE Focus 3.

The redesigned system delivers unprecedented flexibility and value across multiple dimensions. Designers can now create exact asymmetric, custom, fully optimized vertical coverage patterns matched to real-world seating geometry. The LVH-900 can replace a full line array hang with one or two cabinets at a fraction of the traditional system cost, delivering equivalent or superior coverage without obstructing sightlines or requiring special structural support.

The system installs in any ceiling height, including rooms where line arrays cannot be deployed. Electronically steerable coverage replaces the physical J-curve, eliminating minimum ceiling clearance requirements. The compact single-cabinet form factor—available in black, white, or custom colors—reduces sight-line interference and gains architectural acceptance in even the most aesthetically demanding spaces.

Venues can also switch between event configurations in seconds via Armonia+ presets without touching hardware, and software-reconfigurable coverage protects the investment against renovations or seating reconfigurations.

The integration of redesigned software and proven hardware innovation solves complex acoustic challenges while simplifying commissioning, improving project profitability, and eliminating factory specialist dependency. The result is predictable modeled performance, architectural acceptance, and consistent coverage quality across houses of worship, performing arts centers, auditoriums, stadiums, arenas, and educational venues.
