Commenting on the declaration, Biamp Systems Marketing Project Manager, Abbey Masciarotte noted, "With the advent of digital technology, audio and video technology pervades so many aspects of everyday life: from background music in stores and restaurants to paging systems in airports, malls and convention centers, all around the home and increasingly in the form of personal AV. We're pleased to partner with the City of Beaverton and InfoComm to raise awareness of the value and sophistication of these technologies and also the contributions made by companies and individuals that comprise the AV community. We're equally proud to be an Oregon company and to have our products successfully deployed around the world."

Beaverton offers the best of both worlds and it's only fitting that we acknowledge this fact with the official designation of AV Week."
