Biamp Systems, a leading manufacturer of professionally installed audio electronics, announced today it will relocate its corporate headquarters to the Nimbus Corporate Center in Beaverton, Ore.
In March 2010, Biamp will move from its current 48,000-square-foot industrial space in Beaverton, into the 70,944-square-foot location, owned by Shorenstein Properties, LLC. Biamp has signed an 11-year lease.
"The size of our workforce and the amount of technology we manufacture has grown tremendously since we moved into our current space 10 years ago," said Steve Metzger, Vice President of Business Development, Biamp Systems. "The new facility will help us to further expand our innovative product offerings and enable us to meet the growing needs of the future. We have been very pleased with the way in which Mayor Doyle and the mayor's office has worked with Biamp in this relocation effort. We are happy to call Beaverton our home for the coming years."
Currently, Biamp employs more than 130 people at its Beaverton headquarters.
"Boosting the quality of life in Beaverton by retaining and increasing local jobs is one of my top priorities," said Beaverton Mayor Denny Doyle. "I'm delighted that the city's new outreach efforts are already producing results and that innovative employers like Biamp Systems have chosen to grow right here in our community."
Eric Haskins and Michelle Franceschi of Grubb & Ellis, a leading commercial real estate services and investment firm, represented Biamp Systems in locating their new site and negotiating their lease.
