BEAVERTON, Oregon — Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems that power the world's most sophisticated audio/video systems, brings awareness of the AV industry and AV Week to Oregon. In observance of InfoComm International's AV Week, taking place October 16-22, the State of Oregon and the Beaverton, Oregon mayor's office has made proclamations about the impact of the AV industry. Biamp Systems will host an open house October 20, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm PT to celebrate the proclamations, AV Week and the global audio/video industry.
"We're proud to bring AV Week to Oregon and more specifically, Beaverton, by sharing what we do with our community," said Steve Metzger, President of Biamp Systems. "The use of audio systems in public spaces impacts everything from sporting events, to business conferences, public safety, transportation, and countless other important uses. AV Week is devoted to broader education about a $75 billion worldwide industry. The proclamations made by Oregon State Governor John Kitzhaber and the mayor of Beaverton, Denny Doyle, bring attention to the following aspects of the AV industry:
